How tools are evaluated
Recommendations on this site are based on hands-on use: setting the tool up, running it on realistic work, and reporting what actually happened — including where a tool disappointed. Where something could not be tested directly (for example, a feature behind an enterprise plan), the article says so plainly and attributes the claim to the vendor's own documentation instead of presenting it as verified.
What we will not do
- Publish a verdict on a tool no one here has actually used, without labeling it as such.
- Present a vendor's marketing claim (accuracy percentages, time-savings figures) as our own finding.
- Accept payment in exchange for a favorable review or a changed verdict. If a commercial relationship ever exists around a product we cover, it will be stated in the article and on our Affiliate Disclosure page.
Pricing and features change — a standing caution
Productivity software changes fast: free tiers shrink, prices move, features ship and disappear. Every comparison and review on this site carries an "as of" date, and figures should be checked against the vendor's current pricing page before you buy. We revisit published comparisons periodically, but no review site can promise its numbers are current on the day you read them.
